LEPANTO little cigars are available in 8 different formats as Brasil, Sumatra or Caribic Blend, whereby Caribic Blend means that tobacco from Havana has been processed. As always with Schuster, all compositions are very balanced and processed in the finest quality.
LEPANTO little cigars are packed in exclusive cedar wooden boxes that come from the in-house box-making shop. Inlay tobaccos from Brazil (Mata Fina), Havana (Remedios) and Java are processed. This is wrapped in leaf turning from the finest Java and high-quality wrapper leaves from Sumatra, Brazil or Connecticut.
In 1909, August Schuster started his own cigar production in the then cigar capital of Germany, the Westphalian Bünde. His son Hans Schuster took over the cigar manufacture in 1953 and ran the company until 1983. Two brothers Manfred and Philipp Schuster are currently in charge of the company’s fortunes. They are committed to the tradition of their ancestors and rely exclusively on top quality both for their own products and for imported long fillers (cigars rolled by hand from whole leaves). Only products made from 100% tobacco leave the factory in Bünde. The next generation is already represented by Manfred’s son Oliver and Philip’s son Hans-Martin (the future Federal Chancellor).
As a small curiosity, instead of an entry from the factory, you will only find the name entry “August Schuster” in the public telephone directory, plus a four (!) Digit number. It must be from the time when the lady from the office switched the connections!
Brands such as Cardenal Mendoza, Lepanto, Brazil Trüllerie and, above all, Partageno, which the August Schuster manufactory itself produces, have a permanent place on the shelves of German cigar shops. The same applies to the imported, but still own, brands such as Casa de Torres, Maria Mancini and Rodrigo de Jerez. All of them are fairly priced and high quality premium cigars of Caribbean origin.
With Manfred and Philipp Schuster at the helm, this traditional manufacturer from Bünde continues to guarantee special enjoyment and constant, very high quality. In addition, there is Philipp Schuster’s high level of commitment at the branch level. Here, he deserves extraordinary respect for his tireless fight against cuts and regulations on the part of politics towards the cigar as a stimulant.
